Job Title: Support Worker
Job Description
As a Support Worker, you will be working with customers who require assistance with daily living tasks. Your primary responsibility will be to support and encourage customers to become more independent in their own homes and within their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mentor customers to explore and develop their personal interests and hobbies
* Coaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social skills
* Administering medication according to individual support plans
* Completing clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reports
* Providing personal care when required, including toileting, showering, feeding and dressing
* Helping customers engage with local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current NSW Driver's License (mandatory)
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
* Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003
* Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services or similar (advantageous)
