The Role

We are seeking a forward-thinking Financial Analyst to join our Global Infrastructure + Energy Finance Team on a 12 month fixed-term contract, in either our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane office. Reporting to our finance team lead, you will assist key stakeholders in relation to finance matters across the ANZ region.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

- Financial support in relation to project governance, joint ventures, alliances, financial auditing and performance reporting
- Assist with the effective and timely financial management and financial reporting of projects
- Provide support to all facets of commercial performance to the business
- Monitor and adhere to SMEC and SJ Group policies, procedures, systems and controls for all financial processes
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

About You

Suitable applicants will be/have:

- Degree in Commerce / Accounting related
- Experience in a similar Financial Analyst role, within the Professional Services Industry
- Understanding of spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures
- Strong administration and procedural skills
- The ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision when required
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
- Intermediate level in Microsoft applications
- Intermediate skills in SAP highly regarded
