Job Types
Option 1 – Permanent hours working: hours a fortnight, start times ranging from 6:30 am to shifts finishing as late as 7 pm. Picture a roster pattern based on your availability
Option 2 – 50-hour fortnight, overnight sleep shift: as a Rover you will have a set roster pattern, however each shift could be at a different home. Note that for the 8 hour unpaid sleep period between 10 pm-6 am, you remain at the home and sleep in your own private room.
Option 3 – Casual work: suitable candidates may also be added to the talent pool and contacted directly for future vacancies.
Typical Responsibilities
Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals and working to achieve them.
Joining customers in recreational activities such as swimming, dancing, bingo, horseback riding, going to the gym, bowling and more.
Supporting customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments.
Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed.
Administration duties and mandatory daily reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Cert III in Individual Support (CHC) or Cert IV in Disability (CHC) – essential for overnight roster, otherwise desirable.
Passionate about providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives.
Willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping).
Valid driver's licence and willingness to use a comprehensively insured private vehicle, if required, to transport customers to activities or appointments.
NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance.
