In the role of Principal Consultant DBA, you will join the Digital Engage – DevOps & DBA team that’s doubling down on customer obsession.

Responsibilities
Own and govern end‑to‑end database services across strategy, design, deployment, operations, and support.
Maintain service stability, performance, and availability through proactive incident, problem, and risk management.
Provide technical leadership across service management processes, including change, capacity, DR, and continuity.
Ensure deep understanding of database platforms, infrastructure dependencies, and underlying technologies.
Partner with architects, delivery teams, and third‑party providers to ensure quality design and seamless service transition.
Translate business needs into service improvement initiatives aligned to technology and industry trends.
Manage stakeholder relationships through clear communication, coordination, and expectation management.
Participate in an on‑call roster supporting critical, highly available production environments.
Qualifications
Strong experience in database technology, including design, build, administration, and support of large‑scale, highly available environments.
Strong hands‑on PostgreSQL DBA expertise, including installation and management via command line; Oracle experience is advantageous.
Proven experience supporting critical 24x7 production systems with high availability and resilience requirements.
Solid cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure and/or GCP) operating database services in enterprise environments.
Strong Linux/UNIX system administration skills, including Bash shell scripting.
Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work across architecture, delivery, and third‑party providers.
