Submarine Platform Trainer
The submarine platform trainer is responsible for delivering training to students in the Collins Class Submarine platform systems operator training program at the Royal Australian Navy's world-class training facility on HMAS Stirling. The trainer will utilize a range of specialist equipment to teach classroom and practical scenario simulator classes before assessing students' performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver high-quality training content to students.
* Conduct competency assessments of students and provide feedback for improvement.
* Collaborate with other trainers to develop and update training materials.
* Stay current with developments in submarine control room routines, MCC operation, and DSC operation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have knowledge of submarine Control Room routines and experience operating Manoeuvring Control Console (MCC) or Diving Safety Consoles (DSC). You should also have confident presentation and communication skills and be willing to undertake Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of adult learning principles and ability to utilise these to develop knowledge and skills in others.
* Strong understanding of security and data handling requirements.
