About The Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented and dynamic communicator? At Metcash, we’re looking for a Retailer Communications Coordinator to help us drive communication excellence and support our independent retailers. In this exciting and fast-paced role, you’ll manage and update the Metcash Retailer website, ensuring consistent, high-quality content that helps our retailers thrive. You’ll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the business, working together to deliver communications that truly make an impact.

In this Role
* Work closely with a variety of stakeholders (state, national, internal, retailer, and supplier) as well as departments like marketing, promotions, merchandise, and operations to align communications with their strategies
* Manage multiple inboxes, clearing backlogs, assisting internal team members with their requests, addressing retailer and area manager queries, and prioritising action items
* Oversee the planning, production, and timely delivery of communications to retailers, handling day-to-day needs, as well as weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc requests
* Create and manage EDM blasts, offering recommendations to enhance their impact and benefit to retailers
* Regularly review user databases and content to ensure all materials are accurate and up-to-date
* Evaluate and refine current processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of communications
You’re Likely a Match If
* A degree or practical experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
* At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role (experience in FMCG is highly regarded)
* Proficiency in Content Management Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, MailChimp (or similar platforms), Salesforce, and Google Analytics is highly desirable
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong editing and copywriting abilities, and a keen eye for accuracy and detail
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* Proficient in IT and computer systems, with a strong ability to quickly learn and navigate back-end platforms
