A large organisation in the research and education sector is seeking an experienced Research Accountant to support its expanding research portfolio.
Your new role
You will provide financial support across the full lifecycle of research projects, including:
* Preparing research financial statements
* Managing invoicing, receipting and milestone tracking
* Grant establishment and variations
* Compliance submissions and audit support
* ARC/NHMRC expenditure monitoring
* Budgeting, costing and pricing for research proposals
* Variance analysis and financial insights
* Research support payments
* Stakeholder engagement with Chief Investigators and partners
* End‑of‑year reporting tasks
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
* CA/CPA or working towards (desirable)
* Experience in research, project or management accounting
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
