This is an onsite role, offering direct hands-on experience to contribute to the success of the project by assisting the Site Supervisor in driving productivity, ensuring quality of work and remaining compliant with environmental standards.Permanent, full-time role with standard construction site hours.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Site Supervisor in the delegation of tasks on-siteUnderstand the project scope and assist the Site Supervisor to implement time and cost-effective construction methodologiesEnsure all SRG and Client policies and procedures are followed by the team on-siteEnsure that all personnel have their fit for purpose tooling and knowledge required to carry out tasks effectively which includes ensuring all tickets and licenses have been sighted and scope of works are understoodComplete shift reports as per site requirements, complete daily worksheets and other daily reporting as per site requirements and ensure daily pre-starts are carried out on all equipmentActively contribute to risk assessments which include auditing work tasks to ensure assessments are accurate and relevantDirection and monitoring of Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and plant hirersEnsure clients quality expectations are being met/exceeded (in accordance with spec)The successful applicant will ideally havePrevious Leading Hand or Supervisory experiencePipelaying experience across water, sewerage and drainage systemsAbility to lead and provide guidance in team settingsAbility to see demanding work through to completionConstruction/White CardAbility to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including a Drug & Alcohol Screen prior to commencementAbout UsAt SRG Utilities, we empower Australian communities by delivering essential services that support a safe, healthy and fulfilling life.
