About the Role
We are looking for a skilled culinary professional to join our kitchen team as a Demi Chef. The ideal candidate will possess excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
* Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook meals for lunch, dinner, and event service, following established recipes and presentation standards.
* Culinary Expertise: Work across various kitchen stations, including grill, fryer, and other areas, ensuring consistent quality and speed.
* Support Functions: Assist in menu preparation, portioning, and mise en place to maintain efficient service operations.
* Safety and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and stock rotation to prevent contamination and ensure a clean working environment.
* Section Management: Keep your designated section clean, organized, and ready for service at all times.
* Training and Development: Support the kitchen management team in training and guiding junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment
* Degree or certification in culinary arts
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
