Medium Rare Content Agency is looking for a Content Director, Lifestyle to lead the creation and evolution of lifestyle content for Coles. This strategic, client-facing role will focus on overseeing the Coles Health & Beauty magazine and expanding the digital lifestyle content offering. You'll play a key role in transitioning the category from a health and beauty focus to a broader lifestyle remit, shaping both the strategy and publishing model for growth. Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure all content is audience-led, insights-driven, and aligned with Coles’ business objectives.
Responsibilities
* Lead the quarterly production of the Coles Health & Beauty magazine, from ideation and design to shoot production and publishing.
* Oversee digital lifestyle content, ensuring alignment with customer needs, search behaviours, and Coles’ strategic goals.
* Drive creative content ideation across beauty, health, wellness, and commercialised insert opportunities.
* Collaborate with SEO and strategy teams to optimise content for visibility and performance.
* Work with internal and client stakeholders to grow the lifestyle category and define a clear commercial strategy.
* Manage and mentor a small lifestyle team, building collaborative workflows and scalable processes.
Who are you?
* A senior content strategist with experience in lifestyle, beauty, health, or wellness publishing.
* Confident working directly with clients and aligning creative output with commercial goals.
* Skilled in leading content ideation and production across print and digital channels.
* Experienced in managing and motivating creative teams in a collaborative environment.
* Comfortable working with data, insights, and SEO to inform content strategy and delivery.
* Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and passionate about delivering exceptional content experiences.
