With projects in microtunnelling, deep shaft and caisson construction and complex service installations, our client owns a modern fleet of equipment and has completed hundreds of projects for government clients, major construction and resources companies, and project alliances.
This is a full-time role based in the Queensland workshop in Yatala.
Day to day activities include:
* Maintain and repair drilling machines.
* Maintain and repair water transfer pumps.
* Machining / lathe work.
* Lite fabrication work.
Skills and experience required:
* Trade qualification in fitter machinist or mechanic
* Certificate III in Mechanical Trade - Fitter and Turner, Boilermaker/Welder
* Minimum 2 years' experience in related role
* Have a knowledge or exposure to heavy mobile plant
* General Induction card
* Clear verbal and written communication
* Forklift ticket ideal but not essential
* Gantry crane ticket advantageous but not essential
* Dogman / Rigger ticket advantageous but not essential
* Can work well in a team environment
