**As Development Manager, reporting to the Development Director you will make an important contribution to the Urban Development team through:
- planning and managing the delivery of one or more key stages of a development projects, which may include significant enabling infrastructure, as well as residential, retail, commercial, and / or community uses.
- due diligence, site / master planning and feasibility preparation and management.
- managing and/or supporting the preparation and implementation, for review and approval, the business case and development strategy, including all necessary information to support key assumptions and six-monthly reviews of the business case
- preparing / updating development programs and project funding strategies
- preparing briefs for design consultants and contractors
- supporting the preparation of briefing documents seeking project approvals
- preparation and presentation of high-quality Project Control Group (PCG) reports at monthly PCG meetings.
- monitoring market conditions and competitor trends and oversee marketing, sales and leasing.
- facilitating land sales, including working with proponents, stakeholders, internal teams, other government agencies and external real estate agents.
- managing land holdings, developing / implementing strategies to maximise revenue and reduce holding costs.
- managing project staff, external consultants and other resources to ensure appropriate project governance and risk management, adherence to agreed timeframes, budget and quality parameters.
- formulating project procurement strategies and overseeing tender preparation and assessment, contract preparation and negotiation, and ensuring that the commercial interests of EDQ are protected.
Travel within South-East and Regional Queensland is a requirement of the role.
