About the Job
This role involves overseeing daily operations of the pastry kitchen, leading the team in dessert and banquet menu development and ensuring exceptional presentation and consistency.
Job Description
Manage a large team, oversee inventory and cost control, maintain high production volumes while adhering to rigorous food safety and hygiene standards.
Develop and implement new menus and promotions for restaurant outlets and banquets. Participate in department meetings and communicate clear messages about department goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Patisserie or equivalent qualification.
* Availability to work full-time across shifts including weekends and public holidays.
* A confident individual with at least 3-5 years experience in pastry kitchen operation.
* Experience managing teams is highly regarded, as is prior experience in luxury hotels or high-end venues with large banquet operations.
