Line of Service Internal Firm Services Industry/Sector Technology Specialism Technology Leadership & Strategy Management Level Manager Job Description & Summary This role is being offered as a 12-month Maximum term contract. At PwC Australia, Tech Hub enables our company’s businesses to achieve their technology-driven goals. The work undertaken in Tech Hub covers a range of areas from leading and supporting the company through to the build or adoption of new technology, to protecting against risk, and delivering valuable data insights that transform our technology capabilities. As a UX Designer, you’ll play a vital role in designing intuitive, accessible, and scalable digital experiences that bring together user needs and business outcomes. You'll do this working with clients across a diverse range of industries within a global professional services environment. Why PwC? At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health—giving you the chance to make a real impact. Here, your growth is our priority. You’ll work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and unlock your full potential. Join a global community of more than 370,000 people who value bold ideas, collaboration, and lasting change. Together, we’re building trust and shaping the future. What you’ll do: Translate business goals and user needs into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and measurable outcomes. Plan and execute user- centred design activities: stakeholder interviews, task analysis, journey mapping, heuristic reviews, and usability testing (remote/in-person ). Produce core design artefacts: personas, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and responsive specifications across breakpoints. Apply and contribute to the enterprise design system (components, patterns, tokens) and document rationale and usage. Ensure accessibility and inclusivity from inception (keyboard navigation, colour contrast, semantics/ARIA, error handling, assistive tech support). Partner with product and engineering to define epics/stories, acceptance criteria, and design QA; support sprint ceremonies and backlog refinement. Instrument and interpret UX metrics (e.g., task success, time on task, SUS/NPS, funnel conversion) and iterate based on evidence. Facilitate workshops (discovery, prioritisation, ideation, design sprints) and align diverse stakeholders around decisions and trade-offs. Manage design files, versions, and annotations for reliable handover and knowledge continuity; maintain a clear audit trail for risk and compliance. Support change/adoption activities, including playbooks, demos, and training assets; incorporate post ‑ launch feedback into the roadmap. Contribute to proposals or internal initiatives (e.g., POVs, accelerators) as needed in a professional services context. What we’re looking for: Core UX capabilities: information architecture, interaction design, systems thinking, responsive design, and prototyping (low to high fidelity). End-to-end product design within Agile/Lean environments (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe), ideally in enterprise or B2B contexts. Research literacy: planning tests, recruiting, moderating, analysing, and synthesising findings; qualitative and quantitative methods. Accessibility knowledge: WCAG 2.2 guidelines, inclusive design practices, and assistive technology considerations. Design systems: component-driven design, tokens, variant management, contribution workflows, and governance. Tooling proficiency : Figma/ FigJam (or Sketch), Miro/Mural, Jira/Confluence, prototyping tools; familiarity with analytics (GA4, Amplitude) and experimentation platforms is a plus. Platform knowledge: responsive web, iOS/Android guidelines (Material Design, Human Interface Guidelines), micro ‑ interactions and states. Data and compliance awareness: privacy-by-design concepts (e.g., GDPR), security implications, and content lifecycle considerations. Globalisation/localisation: designing for multiple languages, right ‑ to ‑ left layouts, regional formats, and cultural norms. An experienced technical expert who uses your specialised skills to provide advice, influence others and help by directly contributing to solutions. Ability to solve complex work problems leveraging overarching guardrails, experience and strong judgement. Experience being a first level Team Leader with full responsibility for Associate Experience Designer(s) to deliver results, typically, with a team size of 3 people. Ability to work under direction but form annual prioritisation of your work. Ability to successfully collaborate across several teams to drive results. What you’ll gain: The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting-edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise. Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work—balancing what’s best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together. Clear paths for career progression supported by continuous learning and leadership development. Generous leave entitlements including four weeks’ annual leave and float public holidays to support your work-life balance. We know that perks are as important as your financial rewards.
