The Cook role is responsible for the preparation and service of meals and the day-to-day operation of kitchen and accommodation facilities on remote construction and camp-based projects. The position supports site operations by providing safe, hygienic and well-organised food services and maintaining cleanliness standards across camp facilities.
· Prepare and serve daily meals for employees and visitors in accordance with site requirements, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and crib meals as required.
· Plan menus and prepare meals to meet dietary and operational requirements of remote project sites.
· Manage food supplies, including ordering, stock control, rotation and storage to maintain quality and minimise waste.
· Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety requirements.
· Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, food preparation areas and dining facilities.
· Undertake general cleaning duties associated with camp operations, including accommodation rooms, bathrooms, laundry & linen, offices and communal areas as required.
· Identify and report maintenance, hygiene or safety issues within camp and kitchen facilities.
· Use cleaning equipment, kitchen appliances and associated tools safely and correctly.
Apply workplace health and safety requirements, food handling standards and site policies at all times.
