We are seeking an experienced professional to undertake the role of Executive Assistant to the Mayor.
This challenging position will see you undertaking an integral role in the management of the Mayor’s Office in a highly professional, efficient, confidential and helpful manner.
What we will offer you:
* Permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week).
* Remuneration of $3,087.34 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,704.81 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

Your new role:
You will be responsible for maintaining productive links between the Mayor, Councillors, the General Manager and other areas of Council, whilst leading the coordination of various Council and community events.
Your exceptional customer service and organisational skills will see you responsible for:
* Providing executive support to the Mayor’s Office including emails, diary and workflow management, customer requests, public relations enquiries and media requests.
* Event management of Mayoral and Civic Functions.
* Coordinating visits by State, Federal and foreign delegations.
* Coordinating Citizenship Ceremonies including liaison with Department of Immigration
* Preparation of speeches, reports, correspondence and presentations.
* Coordinating various meetings, events and workshops.
* Coordinating all Sister City related activities including committee meetings, events, travel, plus ongoing liaison with Nordlingen, Kunming and Leavenworth representatives.
* Provision of additional support to the Executive Support team as required.
What you will need to succeed:
* Qualifications relevant to the role such as Business Administration qualifications.
* Demonstrated experience relevant to the role including executive support and event management.
* Solid event management, planning, administration and organisational skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver quality customer service.
* Highly developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills including sound conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrated time management, planning and administrative skills.
