About the role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Admin Officer to join our Youth Justice team. In this role, you will provide vital support across general office administration, financial processing, and staff coordination tasks. Reporting to the Service Manager, this position plays an important part in supporting our Youth Justice team and upholding the high standards of care Anglicare Southern Queensland is known for.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Eight Mile Plains.
Responsibilities
As the Administrative Officer, you will:
* Provide reception and support, delivering a high standard of customer service.
* Assist with orientation and induction processes for new employees.
* Manage incoming and outgoing email and mail correspondences.
* Process and reconcile petty cash and invoices.
* Create, audit, file, and archive client information according to organisational guidelines.
* Support payroll processes by entering timesheets and maintaining employee/volunteer records in PayGlobal.
* Maintain registers, prepare training materials, mail-outs and newsletters.
* Provide administrative assistance to the Service Manager, Coordinators, and broader team.
* Uphold confidentiality, safety, and organisational values in all tasks.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
* Experience in general administration tasks such as filing, photocopying, collating documents and data entry.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff, clients and external stakeholders.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
* Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Maintaining confidentiality and adhere to organisational policies.
* Experience in community services, not-for-profit or a similar sector (desirable).
* Ability to undertake tasks in a safe and professional manner, following WHS guidelines.
Requirements:
* Current Blue Card
* Current Queensland Driver Licence
