We are seeking a driven and engaging General Manager, Commercial and New Markets (ANZ) to join our team. This is a permanent position based in our North Sydney or Brisbane office, with some travel required.

This role has overall responsibility for identifying and executing new business opportunities, introducing new revenue streams, optimising commercial strategies, retail pricing strategies and yield management to drive sustainable growth.

So, what’s the job?

In this high-impact leadership role, you will leverage your expertise in insurance, sales, business development, pricing strategy, and commercial analytics to influence senior stakeholders and drive collaboration across underwriting, sales, finance, and risk teams.

You’ll lead the retail portfolio strategy via client engagements, identifying market opportunities, sales and data analysis, and launching new business lines that align with customer needs and business goals

In collaboration with the sales, finance and underwriting teams, oversee commercial retail pricing strategies, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth

Oversee market-facing engagements, including major client tenders, commercial negotiations, and new strategic partnerships

You’ll develop and scale innovative products that are market-fit, commercially viable, and designed for sustainable growth across Partner and Direct channels

You’ll drive continuous product improvement by aligning cross-functional teams around evolving customer needs, market trends, and strategic priorities

You’ll champion revenue and portfolio growth through data-driven decision-making, performance insights, and the commercialisation of new offerings

You’ll provide product-focused commercial leadership, shaping contract structures, pricing strategies, and financial reporting to support strong product outcomes

You’ll lead and support direct reports

You’ll have proven experience in sales, pricing, and product management within travel insurance or financial services

You’ll have a proven track record in driving revenue growth by developing innovative products and implementing effective pricing strategies

You’ll have a strong track record in identifying and closing new business to drive revenue growth

You’ll bring expertise in profitability, portfolio optimisation, and executing strategic business initiatives

You’ll be highly skilled in stakeholder management, negotiations, and collaborating with board/executive-level leadership

You’ll have extensive experience leading high-performance teams, with a solid understanding of financial analytics and market insights
