Salary: PACS Band 8 ($100,524 - $108,812).

As Kwinana continues to grow and evolve, we have a unique opportunity for a talented planner to join our dedicated team in the role of Senior Statutory Planning Officer. Reporting to the Coordinator Statutory Planning, the successful candidate will take on a leadership role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Statutory Planning team, including development control, process improvement, and providing guidance and support to junior team members.
Responsibilities
As our new Senior Statutory Planning Officer, you will be responsible for assessing and reviewing development and subdivision applications across a wide range of planning issues. Drawing on your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, you will provide specialist technical advice and deliver high-quality customer service to both the community and the organisation, contributing positively to our workplace culture.

What You'll Need
* Strong knowledge of WA town planning principles and approval processes, including discretionary decision‐making powers.
* A team player who can work constructively within a small team and influence outcomes through collaboration and relationship building.
* An excellent communicator who can provide clear advice to stakeholders and is committed to customer‐focused service.
* Ability to undertake complex assessments and prepare high-quality written reports.
* A degree in Urban and Regional Planning (or equivalent).
