We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This role is critical to maintaining continuity across our supply chain and operations functions.
The Role
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating domestic and international freight, supporting inventory management, and managing essential logistics administration.
This position requires a highly organised professional who can step into an established role, maintain operational consistency, and ensure smooth day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Supply Chain
* Coordinate domestic and international shipments
* Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers
* Prepare and manage export documentation and compliance requirements
* Monitor inventory movement between production and warehouse
* Track shipments and resolve delays or discrepancies
* Support freight cost monitoring and reporting
* Co-ordinate with the warehouse team to manage stock preparation, assembly, and transfer to third-party suppliers for pack builds.
Administration & Reporting
* Maintain accurate inventory records
* Process purchase orders, freight and supplier invoices
* Reconcile shipping documentation and supplier accounts
* Prepare logistics and performance reports
* Maintain organised digital and compliance documentation
* Provide administrative support to the team as required
* Investigate each complaint thoroughly, including product assessment, batch tracking, and communicate findings to relevant internal team members
* Document the full investigation process, including findings, root cause analysis, and corrective or preventive actions taken.
About You
* 3+ years' experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight coordination
* Strong administrative capability and attention to detail
* Knowledge of Australian freight and import processes
* Organised, reliable, and solutions-focused
* Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Experience within FMCG, retail distribution, or manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.
