About the role:
Subsidence Advisory NSW are currently seeking a Senior Advisor – Community and Stakeholder Engagement to join the Strategy and Policy team. The role is responsible for delivering a range of communication and stakeholder engagement services to increase public awareness of subsidence risks as well as managing Subsidence Advisory NSW's outward facing communications.
Your Responsibilities will include:
* Facilitate the development, delivery and monitoring of a community education program to promote awareness on subsidence risk to eliminate public subsidence danger. This includes delivery of the annual safety awareness campaign featuring Maurie mole.
* Develop and implement communication and stakeholder strategies, plans and content for contentious or publicly sensitive matters and projects to maximise community engagement
* Provide sound advice and recommendations on communication and engagement to achieve optimal outcomes
* Coordinate and manage the production of external and internal publications and ensure consistent messaging and branding
* Respond to external queries to ensure consistent messaging relating to Subsidence Advisory NSW's activities and objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you must be able to:
* Apply high level oral and written communication skills to prepare a range of communication content and strategies
* Analyse complex information and interpret policies to respond to complex enquiries
* Apply experience and skills to prepare and implement awareness campaigns and engagement programs that support and inform community and stakeholders
* Maintain accurate attention to detail to ensure external facing communication meets high level of requirements and standards.
Essential Requirements:
* Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in communication, media or public relations
Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at 129,464 base plus superannuation
