The Role
As a Financial Administrator, you'll take ownership of key financial functions while contributing to strategic planning and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role is perfect for a self-motivated, detail-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with management to develop and oversee budgets that drive business efficiency and growth.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including income and balance sheets, and provide actionable insights into the company's financial performance.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
Process payroll and manage BAS, IAS, and tax obligations.
Support internal audits, maintain accurate records, and provide general administrative assistance such as ordering office supplies and sorting mail.
Maintain strong supplier relationships, resolve invoice discrepancies, and ensure vendor records are accurate.
Prepare monthly sales reports and contribute to annual budgeting and financial planning.
Ensure tenant public liability insurance documentation is current and compliant.
Assist the finance team with ad hoc projects and provide support across operations.
About You
Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally in the construction or trades sector.
Skills: Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Familiarity with Employment Hero Payroll is a bonus.
Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy.
Communication: Effective collaborator and communicator who builds strong professional relationships.
