Working closely with the General Counsel, executive leaders and cross-functional teams, you’ll support complex commercial negotiations and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.You’ll be part of a dynamic, fast-growing business that is leading the way in real-time payments, card issuing and digital banking.Key Responsibilities:Negotiate, draft and settle a wide range of commercial agreements, including major client contracts, vendor agreements, technology and outsourcing arrangements.Provide expert legal input into high-value transactions and complex B2B contracting matters, ensuring commercial objectives are met while managing legal and regulatory risk.Support the legal workstream for regulatory uplift programs, including obligations arising under CPS 230, by advising on contracts, internal policies and governance frameworks.Work cross-functionally to deliver practical legal advice on rights, obligations, and risk mitigation across enterprise projects and BAU activity.Keep senior leadership informed of material legal and regulatory developments, with a focus on financial services obligations and APRA-aligned change initiatives.Collaborate with external counsel and key internal stakeholders to ensure timely, commercially sound legal support across all business lines.Experience:7+ years’ post-admission experience in commercial or corporate law, gained within a top-tier or well-regarded mid-tier firm and/or in-house at a leading corporate or blue-chip organisation.Sound knowledge of Australian financial regulations, including ASIC and APRA requirements.Proven experience managing complex contract negotiations and drafting agreements, particularly with financial institutions and service providers.Working knowledge of prudential standards, including CPS 230, with the ability to interpret and apply them in a commercial context.Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with a pragmatic, collaborative and solutions-focused approachGreenfields is a specialist In-House Legal, Company Secretary and Corporate Governance Executive Search & Recruitment firm.
