An exciting opportunity exists for a fixed term full-time Development and Compliance Support Officer to join our team in Moranbah. Reporting to the Manager Community Education & Compliance, this position is responsible for the compliance support to the Development Standards, Community Compliance & Environmental Health Officers in the enforcement of Isaac Regional Council Local Laws and State Legislation.

To be successful in this position, you will:

1. Have a caring attitude, paired with a positive work ethic and demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team to reach a shared goal.
2. Experience in delivering excellent customer service with a proven capability to relate to internal and external stakeholders and to effectively deal with sensitive enforcement and compliance issues;
3. Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on effective conflict resolution, and the ability to manage customer expectations to achieve desired outcomes;
4. Solid written and verbal communication skills;
5. Strong face-to-face engagement capacity;
6. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential;
7. Developed knowledge in the interpretation and application of Local Laws and other legislation

To be successful in this position, you will:

- Salary $82,791.82 - $90,205.62 per annum plus allowances (Stream A, Level 3 – 4)
- Fixed Term – 12 Month Contract
- Based in Moranbah
- weeks annual leave pro-rata @ 17.5% loading
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
