Position Details
Established trawling company working in the Australian Fishing Zones, seeks the following full-time fishing industry positions: Seafood Processors. This company maintains a drug- and alcohol-free workplace; employees can be subject to random drug and alcohol testing. This is a condition of employment. You will be based in the above region but may be required to work in other locations subject to operational requirements.
Seafood Processors
We also are seeking highly experienced seafood process workers to work in our processing area. Please note that we have both full-time and seasonal vacancies.
For this position of Seafood Processor you should ideally have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a seafood processor with verifi able references.
Responsibilities
* Assist in unloading fresh seafood product from vessels
* Move various seafood product to chillers, freezers and live tanks
* Sort, dress and fillet fish with a proven ability to maintain a high recovery rate
* Sort, clean and retrieve meat from shellfish and crustaceans
* Load seafood products into trucks
* Packing boned and filleted seafood into cartons
* Inspecting and grading fish and shellfish for size and quality
* Packing fish and counting packs before freezing, and packing frozen fish blocks into cartons
* Operate machines which slice, peel, skin, crumb and package seafood product
* Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas
* Ensure that all workplace safety regulations are complied with
Wages and Benefits
The salary for this full-time position is between $68,800 and in excess of $78,000 per year plus superannuation guarantee for highly experienced industry workers (plus government-regulated superannuation guarantee).
