You will work across our Housing & Homelessness and Public Intoxication Streams comprising crisis support, accommodation, tenancy sustainability, casework, outreach, harm minimisation and community transport services. You will manage allocated services, sites and initiatives, ensuring service quality and meeting administrative, data and reporting deadlines. You will collaborate with management, Team Leaders, Case Workers and Support Workers to identify, mitigate and manage client, staff, financial and stakeholder risks, and participate in advocacy, networking, partnership and service development opportunities. Priorities will be guided by a workplan that is periodically updated to reflect organisational needs. You may be required to backfill operational leadership roles to ensure stability, continuity and staff supervision.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences or a related discipline.
* Substantial case work experience with adults from diverse cultural backgrounds dealing with challenges such as disconnection from family, homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues, disrupted education, and unemployment.
* Strong record of effective staff supervision, service management, and meeting contract deliverables and service standards.
* Knowledge of harm minimisation and homelessness models that support adults (and families) in resolving crises, improving health and well‐being, strengthening relational and life skills, and exploring housing and job pathways.
* Experience working with First Nations people, families, organisations and communities, and commitment to closing the gap in health, well‐being and economic outcomes.
* Established computer skills, aptitude for learning new business systems, and strong administration, data analysis and reporting.
* Track record of strong teamwork, collaborative practice and demonstrated ability to adapt to operational needs.
* Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and working in culturally safe ways with First Nations people.
Compliance
* Evidence of mandatory qualifications.
* Satisfactory outcome of a current (less than 3 months old) National Criminal History Check.
* Blue Card (QLD working with children card).
* QLD driver's licence 'Class C' or interstate equivalent.
* Ability and willingness to participate in an On‐Call roster if required.
* Out‐of‐hours work may be required.
* Ability and willingness to undertake local area / regional travel.
* First Aid certificate and CPR certificate.
