Job Description
This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced warehouse supervisor to oversee the efficient management of our warehouse operations.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and managing warehouse personnel to ensure the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, service, and cost targets.
* Maintain a commitment to Quality by following established policies and procedures.
* Utilize resources effectively to execute work in line with business production systems.
* Support leadership decisions and policies across the warehouse environment.
* Manage maintenance plans and action tooling requirements as needed.
* Effectively manage people resources to meet warehouse and distribution demands.
* Create strategies for effective storage of goods, minimizing storage and distribution costs.
* Own Preservation and Packaging standards for Inbound and Outbound goods.
* Verify the quality of completed jobs and sign off against job packs.
* Plan and schedule consumables and tooling to support reliable and repeatable practices.
* Understand business needs by exhibiting knowledge of key drivers and performance measures relating to the department.
* Develop team members in line with training plans, career development goals, and succession plans.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications and certificates in Warehousing, Distribution, or Logistics.
* Certifications: Coal mine inductions, OH&S including Dangerous Goods, Rigging, Forklift, Scaffolding.
* Significant experience in manufacturing and/or distribution center functions.
* Stock control exposure/knowledge.
* Ability to create and maintain a safe and orderly stores operation.
* Supervise and manage people in a change culture environment.
* Quality Conscience, knowledge of ISO 9000 advantageous.
* Familiarity with BOMs and manufacturing processes environments.
* Proven ability in efficient stores management by utilizing materials handling equipment and stores operations processes.
