Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Feature Control team within the Product Insights Enablement group. As Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in rolling out changes safely to our 200M+ users.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and evolving the strategy of our Feature Control platform, working conjointly with other teams in the group to connect with related services. They will also partner with data and product leaders to ensure measurement is embedded into launches.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the team that owns Canva's internal feature flagging and progressive delivery platform
2. Define and evolve the strategy of our Feature Control platform
3. Partner with data and product leaders to ensure measurement is embedded into launches
4. Owning the technical roadmap and delivery for Canva's rollout and flags infrastructure
5. Collaborating with engineering leaders to promote safe deployment patterns across Canva
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you should have:
1. Led engineering teams across both frontend and backend infrastructure
2. Deep technical expertise in feature flagging, rollout systems, or developer platforms
3. Comfortable coaching engineers across the stack and guiding architectural decisions that scale
4. Experience with modern, polyglot environments – at Canva, we primarily use Java, TypeScript, Go and platforms like AWS
5. Loves mentoring and has a track record of helping people grow and thrive
