Our client is a privately-owned group operating five fast-paced fast-food restaurants across Brisbane, with continued growth through new store openings and acquisitions. With a turnover expected to exceed $45 million next year, they offer a fun, team-oriented culture with long staff tenure and genuine opportunities to grow alongside the business. Reporting directly to the Director, you will be able to help influence key strategic business and commercial decisions.
The Position
In this role, you will take ownership of the finance function with a strong focus on management reporting, P&L; analysis, and providing commercial insights to support operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Presenting accurate P&L; and management reports to store managers
- Managing forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Partnering with restaurant managers to provide insights and attend P&L; meetings.
- Reviewing coding, invoices, and liaising with outsourced providers for BAS and bank reconciliations.
- Overseeing payroll for employees under the Fast-Food Award.
- Supporting the integration of new stores and acquisitions from a finance perspective.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in reporting and payroll.
Your Profile
You are excited about working in a part-time role that is around 3 days a week or 24 hours a week. There is flexibility on when you can work and how long you work for, as long as you can be present on Monday to oversee payroll.
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable finance professional who thrives in a hands-on, fast-moving workplace. You will bring:
- CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Strong accounting knowledge, with an understanding of awards and payroll.
- A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to “roll up your sleeves.”
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with operational teams.
- Drive to grow with the business and take on broader responsibilities over time.
