Big Loaf Factory Bakery is the heart of our food business, producing freshly baked artisan breads, cakes, and bakery goods, including our famous cinnamon scrolls. We are passionate about quality food and source all our ingredients from local producers. Think of us as your country bakehouse operating on a larger scale!
The produce we create on site is supplied to our 4 stores across Perth (Big Loaf Factory Bakery Shop, North Street Store, Little Loaf Bakery and Peoples Cafeteria), as well as a select wholesale customer base. We're on a mission to shape a world where people eat better and everyone on our team are essential in making this happen!
**The role**
We are looking for a powerhouse bakery dishwasher and cleaner to join our team.
This job is a critical part of maintaining our food quality standards, and you have a direct impact on ensuring the health and safety of the whole team. There is a lot of variety, though general tasks will include:
- Cleaning dishes and baking/cooking equipment
- Cleaning industrial ovens
- Sweeping and hosing floors
- Unpacking trucks and staking crates
- Assisting with unloading and storage of stock
You can also expect to do a bit of kitchen hand work as well. If you are interested in a career in pasty or baking, this could be a good starting point for you.
**About you**
You must be available on Monday and Friday, plus one weekend day (or both!) is desirable.
You don't need any specific qualifications or experience for this role, although if you have worked in a kitchen, takeaway restaurant, or factory environment before, that will definitely interest us. We are also looking for:
- A good attitude - you take pride in your work and don't cut corners
- You are a reliable part of the team who shows up on time and ready to get to work
- You aren't afraid to get dirty or work hard
- You are committed to doing a great job
- You are fit and able to do manual work for an extended period
