The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our team.
This is a hands-on and varied role that will see you working closely with both finance and operational teams, supporting project performance, financial reporting, and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with Project Managers on cost reporting and financial analysis
* Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
* Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations, and financial reports
* Assist with BAS, payroll tax, and statutory compliance
* Maintain fixed assets and financial records
* Support payroll interface processes
* Act as a key systems user (MYOB Advanced / Acumatica, Workbench, Payroll Metrics)
* Assist with audits and board reporting
* Provide general office support, including:
o Ordering office supplies
o Coordinating staff travel arrangements
* Support the Finance Manager across finance and operational initiatives
About You
You will be:
* CPA/CA qualified (or near completion)
* Experienced in a Senior Financial Accountant or similar role
* Ideally from an engineering, construction, or project-based environment
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
* Systems savvy with experience in ERP/accounting platforms
* A strong communicator who can work across finance and operations
* Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable
