Roxburgh College is known for its strong commitment to servicing all students. We have introduced an internal Flexible Learning Option (FLO) for our under 15 years program to catering for early intervention of disengaged students. As school disengagement becomes even more pronounced with younger cohorts, who need different care and support when it comes to schooling. With this intent in mind, we have initiating a new and exciting opportunity within the College supported by non-profit agents such as Banksia Community Services who have experience in working in our community. We refer to this as the ACE program and the successful applicant will work within our Middle School team as well as collaborating with our Gateway campus staff and Banksia Community Services to create an education provision that sees students supported on campus for up to a semester, which includes the re integration phase into their mainstream curriculum program.

**Selection Criteria**:

**Role**:
The ACE Program Convener¿s primary focus will be on the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes. S/he will engage in critical reflection and inquiry in order to improve knowledge and skills to effectively work with disengaged students and improve their learning and social skills.
The ACE Program Convener may be required to undertake other duties in addition to the roistered teaching duties provided the responsibility is appropriate to the salary range, qualifications, training and experience of the teacher.
S/he** **plays a significant role in assisting the school to improve student performance and educational outcomes determined by the school¿s strategic plan and statewide priorities and contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities.
A critical component of this work will focus on increasing the knowledge base of staff within the School about student learning and quality instruction to assist teacher practice specifically for disengaged students.
