A Porter provides consistently delivers exceptional customer service to Guests, especially as service affects laundry and the transferring and storing of luggage.
What will I be doing?
As a Porter, you will provide consistently high-quality customer service to Guests, focusing on laundry support and luggage handling. The Porter interacts with Guests and contributes to their first impressions of our hotel. Your key responsibilities include:
* Providing laundry support, including wash cycles, folding, and storage
* Offering courteous and attentive service to Guests, maintaining a visible presence in the lobby
* Delivering fast, efficient, and friendly service to both individual Guests and Groups
* Keeping Supervisors informed of relevant feedback from Guests and other departments
* Delivering messages throughout the day as needed
* Assisting with room moves, luggage deliveries, and manning the Front Door following standard procedures
* Handling and storing luggage for arriving and departing Guests and clients
* Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of public areas and equipment
* Communicating with Security regarding unattended luggage
* Greeting Guests warmly in public areas and rooms

* Possess a valid NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency Card
* Have a positive attitude and effective communication skills

* Respond promptly to Guest requests and deliver exceptional service
* Maintain excellent grooming standards
It is advantageous to have:
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Experience working within a hotel environment
