About the Opportunity
St Mark's Primary School is seeking a compassionate School Officer to take on a unique Classroom Support position that combines personal care with general learning support. This role plays an important part in ensuring students feel safe, included and supported throughout their school day.
Responsibilities
* The role involves providing personal care to a young student, delivered with respect, discretion and a strong focus on maintaining their dignity, comfort and safety.
* Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students, including the use of technology and learning support activities.
* Monitoring the progress of students and identifying learning areas to provide evidence‐based intervention strategies.
* Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs.
* Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services.
* Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assisting in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.
About You
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
* Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs.
* Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence‐based interventions.
* Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes.
* Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups.
* Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programs, and preparing classroom materials.
* Certificate III in Education Support.
* For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
