About This Role
This is a critical role in maximizing participation in the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Census.
The ABS Census is conducted every five years to estimate Australia's population, distribute government funds, and plan services for individuals, families, and communities.
You will play a key role in connecting the ABS to stakeholders and members of the community in regional and remote areas through targeted engagement activities.
Cultural knowledge and lived experience are highly valued and essential to shaping positive outcomes for communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and Deliver Engagement Activities: Plan, coordinate, and deliver Census engagement activities for your assigned region.
* Maintain Stakeholder Records: Maintain a record of your engagement activities via our ABS Stakeholder Management System.
* Develop Engagement Plans: Develop, update, and review engagement plans for your area of responsibility.
* Promote Census Participation: Promote participation in the Census through community visits, promotional activities, and presentations.
* Build Community Networks: Connect with the community, establish networks, and maintain those relationships.
