Child Health Nurse Specialist
This is a critical role within the healthcare sector, focusing on improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, particularly women and children aged 0-5 years.
The main objective of this position is to deliver high-quality services that promote the health and wellbeing of these vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide education and support to children and their families to enhance their overall health and wellbeing.
* Conduct clinical monitoring, identify developmental delays, and refer to appropriate services to ensure optimal health outcomes.
* Administer childhood immunizations in accordance with public health guidelines.
* Integrate childhood maternal and child health, and family support services to provide holistic care.
* Implement evidence-based plans to address community priorities in children's health and development.
* Lead and mentor a team of professionals to achieve exceptional health outcomes.
* Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and data management to inform service improvement.
* Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery and patient care.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with minimum 3 years postgraduate experience, current AHPRA Registration, and current Post Graduate Qualification in Child Health with Relevant Experience. They must also hold a Nationally Recognised Immunisation Certificate and a Current Australian Drivers Licence.
