The Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network provides specialty health services to patients in correctional environments. We are seeking a skilled medical professional to work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality care.
* As a Visiting Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing general medical services to patients within our facilities. This includes assessing and managing a range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing high-quality medical care to patients in a correctional environment
* Working collaboratively with the Nursing Unit Manager, Service Director Primary Care, and Clinical Director Primary Care to enhance existing services and implement best practice
* Developing and maintaining knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches to assessment and management of medical conditions
Requirements:
* Current medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) or Australasian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM)
* Demonstrated significant experience in General Practice, with knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches to assessment and management of medical conditions
