Reporting to the Manager of Control Systems and supporting the lead engineer, you as the Senior Control Systems Engineer will provide specialist advice, oversee, manage, and deliver reliability and production improvements.
You will:
* Provide control systems support to breakdowns and production critical issues
* Execute electrical, instrument and control systems design and commissioning for minor plant modifications and new equipment installation
* Project and Contractor Management, Scheduling, Invoicing, and Timesheets reporting
* Development of detailed design statements of work and tenders for Control systems
* Design of process automation control systems
* Electrical Schematics, FAT/SAT documents, Maintenance manuals
* Estimation for control systems
* Programming, commissioning of MES, SCADA and PLC based systems
* Providing on-site training for products and solutions.
About You
* Demonstrating an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibilities, and sustainable development and technical regulatory compliance
* Extensive experience on large scale multidisciplinary EPCM projects. The project cycle from engineering design, project delivery to commissioning support.
* Strong technical skills on process control, field instrumentations, PLC programming, SCADA application development, systems integration, testing and troubleshooting.
* Proven ability to communicate at all levels using written and verbal techniques.
* Experience with configuration and programming of applications/platforms including CitectSCADA, OPC servers/platforms, Citrix platforms, Virtual Computing platforms & environments.
* Experience with configuration, programming and migrating of various PLC Platforms (Rockwell AB, GE, Modicon & Siemens), Fieldbus networks (Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Devicenet etc), Pilz Safety PLC, Variable Speed Drives, analogue and digital actuators and sensors
* ESSENTIAL to have a solid understanding of Schneider and Rockwell.
* Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechatronic or Control Systems Engineering or Trade qualifications in Electrical or Instrumentation discipline in equivalent industry and/or organisational experience.
* Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role.
* Functional Safety qualifications (i.e. TUV Certified Engineer) will be highly regarded.
* Other tasks: FAT, Commissioning
