Hutchies is looking for a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Hobart team on a full‐time, permanent basis. With a solid pipeline of upcoming work, we're now seeking an experienced commercial construction Project Manager to support and drive the growth of our Hobart operations.

Responsibilities
* Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project
* Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
* Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
* Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
* Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
* Hire contractors and other company members and allocate responsibilities for the project
* Supervise the work of labourers, mechanics, etc. and give them guidance when needed
* Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
* Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
* Manage all aspects of project risk and opportunity
* Manage all financial aspects of the project including the preparation of monthly financial reports
* Ensure compliance of the project to the requirements of the contract, legislation, stakeholders and authorities
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role in the construction industry
* An understanding of legislation applying to commercial construction in the state of Tasmania
* Strong knowledge of construction specific legislation and Codes of Practice
* Professional written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Ability to work in a team environment and have initiative when working independently
* Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders
