The Quality and Safety Division leads and supports the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care across Central Queensland Health (CQ Health). Operating as a trusted business partner to all clinical delivery areas, the Division provides expert guidance, governance frameworks, and practical support to ensure care is delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety. Through close collaboration, it helps clinical teams translate data, evidence, and insights into meaningful improvement actions that enhance outcomes for patients, staff, and the organisation.
About the role:
Provide expert advice and leadership support to develop, maintain and monitor the Quality Improvement program.
Develop and implement the Patient Safety and Quality priorities.
Support directorate / facility patient safety and quality improvement reporting.
Support quality improvement and patient safety across the Directorate / Facility.
Lead and support a culture of safety by encompassing a just culture, being accountable and encourage collaboration across directorates / facilities and disciplines to seek solutions for patient safety issues and to implement and embed the National Standards.
Demonstrate high level knowledge, experience and clinical skills in relation to the application of National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and associated quality activity/service improvement system processes.
About you:
The successful applicant will hold a tertiary degree qualification such as a Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent.
Current Midwifery registration though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is also a requirement for this position.
Demonstrate knowledge and commitment to quality processes including policies, guidelines and evidence-based practices.
Demonstrate clinical leadership in the coordination and provision of patient centred care and best practice outcomes.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $169,138 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $ $74.76 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
