Position Overview
Our client is an established property developer with an extensive and varied portfolio of quality projects. With a strong pipeline of work ahead, our client is in an aggressive growth phase and seek a dedicated acquisitions specialist to spearhead their goals. The Property Acquisition Specialist will identify, approach, and engage with residential property owners to secure suitable development sites for our pipeline of projects. This front-line role is critical to sourcing opportunities for townhouse, spec homes, and mixed-use development across Brisbane.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a good understanding of property and planning fundamentals, and the ability to build rapport and trust with homeowners. You will act as the face of our business, initiating conversations, assessing property development potential, and managing relationships through to acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively identify potential residential sites for acquisition through research, mapping, and direct outreach.
* Engage with homeowners via phone, email, door-knocking, and letter campaigns to gauge interest in selling.
* Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities.
* Conduct initial due diligence and site assessments in collaboration with the Development team (e.g. zoning, planning constraints, access, size).
* Liaise with internal teams to determine site feasibility and prepare offers.
* Maintain accurate records of interactions, site statuses, and lead progression using CRM or tracking systems.
* Represent the business professionally in all external communications and engagements.
* Support negotiation processes alongside the Development and Legal teams.
* Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and relevant planning policy changes.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in property, sales, acquisitions, or related fields (real estate, buyer advocacy, development, etc.).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Confident and proactive approach to relationship-building.
* Knowledge of property development, zoning, and local planning regulations is advantageous.
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple leads and priorities.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work autonomously.
* A current driver's license and own vehicle.
