Role
Monash Health have several positions available for Grade 2 Nuclear Medicine Technologists, in full and part-time capacities. The successful applicants will be required to work at MMC Clayton, Moorabbin Hospital, Dandenong Hospital & Casey Hospital. Duties include the ability to provide diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) in a professional and timely manner. This includes:
1. Performing a large variety of Nuclear Medicine and PET procedures, both diagnostic and therapeutic.
2. Ordering of radiopharmaceuticals and consumables.
3. Radiopharmaceutical preparation.
4. Participate in the on-call roster
Qualifications/ Registrations/ Licenses (italics indicated desirable):
5. Completion of an approved tertiary diploma or degree or graduate diploma course in Nuclear Medicine Technology (or equivalent)
6. Registered to practice in Victoria- Medical Radiation Practitioners Board (MRPB)
7. Holder of Victorian Department of Human Services “Use Licence” – as per Radiation Act 2005
8. Accredited (or eligible for accreditation) with Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM)
9. Working With Children Check
10. Strong CPD ethic eg Regular attendance at relevant post-graduate seminars
11. Be well read in the appropriate texts and journals.
