The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Steel Modeller / Tekla Detailer to join our team in Brisbane or Townsville.
This is a full-time, office-based role with real project ownership and strong internal support.
You will be responsible for:
• Producing accurate 3D models in Tekla Structures
• Preparing detailed shop drawings and CNC outputs
• Managing project packages from model setup through to issue for fabrication
• Coordinating with engineering documentation, 3D scan data and integrated site models
• Reviewing for constructability and workshop efficiency
• Resolving detailing queries efficiently and commercially
• Supporting and mentoring junior detailers where required
This is a senior production role suited to someone who understands fabrication and sequencing — not just modelling.
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years Tekla Structures experience (essential)
• Strong knowledge of Australian steel detailing standards
• Ability to independently manage projects
• Practical understanding of constructability
• High level of accuracy and production efficiency
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in mining, heavy industrial or commercial projects highly regarded
Formal engineering qualifications are not essential — demonstrated capability and output are valued.
