Overview
The Haematology laboratory at Ipswich is looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated person to join the team as a Biomedical Scientist.
You will join the rotating Biomedical Scientist staff, contributing to all areas of Haematology laboratory diagnostic work and developing a broad range of skills.
We are a friendly, busy MHRA and UKAS compliant hospital laboratory committed to the training and development of our staff. We are IBMS accredited for registration and specialist portfolios.
We are equipped with Grifols, Sysmex XN and ACL TOP analysers.

Responsibilities
Undertake testing and processing of biomedical specimens, analysis and entering of results onto the computer.
Work flexibly to meet service needs, including extended working days and participation in a 24 hour, 7 days a week service.
Supervise and/or train less experienced staff in own area of work and competency.
Maintain and promote a professional image of the Pathology Department.
Qualifications
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Preferably have experience working at registrant level in a Haematology laboratory.
