We aim to make energy better for customers, develop transformative technology, and empower people to make sustainable change for the future.We're seeking a highly motivated individual to lead Accounts Payable and Payroll across Australia and New Zealand for Kraken. You will join our fast-paced Finance team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, managing monthly payroll, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.Reporting to our Head of Finance, you will be part of a fun and dynamic team, with opportunities for growth and career progression.What you'll doManage all Accounts Payable functions:Monitor and action supplier invoices received via email;Obtain manager approvals to ensure timely payments;Manage payment runs and record transactions accurately in the finance system;Update supplier and customer details as needed;Manage payroll processes (with external provider):Ensure monthly payroll for Kraken Australia and New Zealand is processed accurately and on time;Manage bank balances and daily cash flow forecasts to meet payment needs;Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations;Prepare and review GST returns;Assist with credit card management, reconciliations, and coding;Raise sales invoices and follow up on payments;Improve accounts payable processes and standards;Prepare monthly bank reconciliations;Support ad hoc projects and general finance admin as needed.What you'll needExperience in Accounts Payable and/or Payroll roles;Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects;Experience with accounting and payroll systems;Excellent attention to detail and methodical work approach;Self-motivated with initiative;Problem-solving skills and proactive attitude;Ability to build relationships at all levels;Degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent (preferred).If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
