Job Overview
The Performance Manager plays a crucial role in leading and implementing people and operational initiatives within the Airport. This exciting opportunity involves supporting the Airport Services Manager to deliver an exceptional employee experience.
This position is integral to driving safety, succession planning, and productivity, while fostering a high-performance culture among a diverse and industrialised workforce. You will manage a team of Team Leaders, Customer Service Officers, and Cabin Baggage Officers.
In addition, you will lead the rollout of performance management, employee engagement initiatives, employee development, recruitment activity, and airport change initiatives across the Airport.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Airport Manager to identify strategies to drive improved employee engagement using informal and formal feedback from employee engagement survey results.
* Coordinate onboarding activities for new starters at the Airport.
* Act as a coach and mentor to frontline employees to aid in developing their capabilities.
* Hold regular performance reviews with team members to provide coaching, support, and guidance on individual performance and motivation.
* Ensure employee matters are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner, escalating issues to relevant stakeholders when necessary.
* Develop individual development plans with team members to address performance gaps and bridge them.
* Provide leadership, coaching, and support to all team members, identifying and nurturing talent development opportunities.
* Identify team and individual development opportunities and design plans to challenge team members and motivate them to achieve excellence.
* Support the Airport Manager in implementing a culture of safety, service, and operational excellence across the Airport.
Requirements
- Extensive experience within Airline Operations or Airport Services.
- 3-5 years of experience leading and managing a team.
- Proven track record of driving business performance through strategic and tactical planning competence and implementation.
- Experience developing, fostering, and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships at leadership levels.
- Strong commercial orientation and high level of business acumen with ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong negotiation, communication, organisational, and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Strong leadership skillset and leader of leaders.
- High level of problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Business or Aviation Degree or equivalent industry experience.
