Located within the Vice‐Chancellor's portfolio and led by the Donald Horne Professor, Frank Bongiorno, the Vice‐Chancellor's Centre of Public Ideas will deliver high‐quality education, research, and public engagement focused on Australian political history, with the goal of strengthening democratic understanding and long‐term policymaking.
As a Lecturer, you will contribute to cutting‐edge, student‐centred teaching and curriculum development in Australian Political Studies, while building a strong research profile in Australian politics and political history. You will actively engage with media, industry, government and the broader community, helping translate ideas into meaningful public conversations.
About You
* A PhD in Australian Political Studies or Australian Political History
* Evidence of highly effective tertiary‐level teaching and curriculum development
* Excellent record of research publication and other outputs in Australian Political Studies and/or Australian Political History
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and contribute to academic leadership
* Experience engaging with media, public audiences and external stakeholders
* Commitment to equity, diversity and workplace health and safety
