Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Management Specialist to oversee the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our vehicle fleet. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and administer fleet policy in support of operational continuity and sustainability.
* Oversee all aspects of fleet management, from acquisition and utilization through to maintenance, replacement planning and compliance.
* Ensure ongoing alignment of fleet policy to related industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or a combination of qualifications and substantial experience in fleet management and operations.
* Strong experience in fleet operations and management, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, disposal, and overall portfolio oversight.
* Demonstrated ability to apply industry best practices, comply with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
* Proficient in corporate financial and administrative systems, with hands-on experience using fleet management and telematics platforms to support operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
* Strong knowledge of the motor vehicle, fleet, and freight transport industries, with proven ability to engage effectively with suppliers, dealers, manufacturers, government bodies, contractors, and service providers.
