We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate 2IC at Concord Specialist School to co-lead the OSHC program in a specialist school setting. This role is a key part of the Victorian Government’s High Intensity OSHC initiative (find out more at: High Intensity Outside School Hours Care Initiative for students with disabilities | vic.gov.au). The service is fully funded by the Victorian Government and operates at a high staff to child ratios to appropriately meet the needs of each participant (approximately 1 educator for every 2 children). If you are experienced in the early childhood, OSHC and/or disability support sectors and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families, this role is for you. The Role This role is full time - 38 hours a week - 10.00am - 6.06pm during term time where the role is a combination of administration hours and in service hours. Co-lead, train and guide in best practice to deliver the highest quality care for every child in care Plan and prepare child focused programs for school aged children in a specialist school setting Contribute to compliance such as the Quality Improvement Plan etc High staff to student ratio to ensure every child’s individual needs are met (1:2, 1:1, 2:1) Provide children with the opportunity to explore, learn, and play and have fun Maintain a safe environment for all children, families, and staff Extensive training and onboarding with ongoing support Career development and progression pathways Generous resource budgets Be the face of TheirCare in your school community, creating lasting relationships along the way Skills And Experience Experience with training, coaching and management of a large team Experience and confidence in the disability support and childcare sector High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills Experience and confidence in behavioural management of high needs children Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exhibit our TheirCare values: Caring, Open and Engaged Requirements Employee Working with Children Check or VIT card First Aid CPR Certificate Child Protection Training / Mandatory Reporting Be actively working towards or have completed an ACECQA approved Diploma level qualification Join the fun at TheirCare and apply today.
