*The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Enrolled Nurse (Complex Care) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Assist with the safe and timely discharge of medically stable patients
Provide generalist care to patients within the community under the supervision of a senior nurse
Possess varied specialist nursing skills, with knowledge and experience in independent community-based generalist nursing
Be proactive in own professional development and maintain competencies, identifying learning needs and actively seeking opportunities
Utilise a variety of software applications and digital systems
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Diploma of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Driver's License
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
Integrated Multi-disciplinary, Post-Acute and Complex Care Team (IMPACCT) Services comes under the overarching leadership of Integrated Care Services, Operations.
Incorporated into IMPACCT Services, the Multi-disciplinary Avoidance and Post-acute Service (MAPS) provides a 7-day a week service which provides care in the community in the vital two weeks following hospital intervention to enable seamless transition of care for discharged patients. In particular, those who would otherwise have to wait longer in hospital for allied health interventions or up to two weeks at home before receiving ongoing community service from the Non-government Organisation (NGO) sector. MAPS also focuses on identifying and providing care to community dwelling individuals who would otherwise be at risk of presenting to the acute hospitals through direct referrals form General Practitioners (GPs) and the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS).
